The Indian National Games returns for its 38th edition and will be staged in the hill-town of Dehradun, Uttarakhand from 28 to February 14.
The multi-sport extravaganza will host more than 10,000 athletes, coaches and officials from different states of the country, along with Union Territories and institutions.
The National Games 2025 will feature 32 sports as well as four demonstration events- Mallakhamb, kalarippayattu, rafting and yogasana.
Sporting events at the National Games 2025 will conclude on February 13, and will be followed by the closing ceremony a day later.
The National Games for the very first time were held in Lahore in an undivided India, in 1924. At the time, it was known as the Indian Olympic Games up until 1938.
The previous edition of the National Games was held in Goa in 2023 in which Maharashtra finished at the top with 228 medals, including 80 gold, 69 silver and 79 bronze.
