The NBA, which stands for the National Basketball Association, is a professional basketball league in the United States and Canada. The league has 30 teams, 29 from the United States and 1 from Canada. It is a well-known professional sports league in both countries. When it comes to men’s professional basketball, there is no better league than the NBA.

There are currently 30 teams in the competition, split between two conferences with three divisions of five each. The 2004–05 season marked the debut of the new divisional structure. Most teams are located in the eastern region of the United States and Canada, which mirrors the overall population concentration there.
