The Doha Diamond League 2025 marks the start of the prestigious international athletics series, with the event taking place at the Qatar Sports Club. The event is scheduled for 16 May 2025. The men’s javelin throw is one of the most-anticipated events, attracting a world-class field full of Olympic champions and world champions. Doha has a reputation for producing big throws and making records, and the venue has been a happy ground for Neeraj Chopra, who won the 2023 season and finished in second place in 2024.
Neeraj Chopra On His Comeback

Chopra will enter the 2025 season fully fit after overcoming a groin injury that disrupted his performances last year. Reflecting on his comeback, he said, “I had some problems in my groin. This time, I never missed any (throwing) session. So, I feel very confident. I feel really good. The last throwing sessions were really great. I am ready. I am very excited to open my season in Doha.”
India’s Campaign At The Doha Diamond League

Chopra also acknowledged the support of fellow Indians in the Doha Diamond League 2025 and is motivated to deliver a record-breaking performance against world-class rivals like Anderson Peters and Julian Weber.
India’s participation in the prestigious event is the largest-ever contingent at the League, with four athletes competing. Neeraj Chopra and Kishore Jena will be competing in the men’s javelin throw while Parul Chaudhary will compete in women’s 3000m steeplechase. Gulveer Singh will make his debut in men’s 5000m.
