Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma is all set to sign Nemanja Matic on a free transfer this summer as reported by Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano on Sunday night. It seems Mourinho wanted him in Serie A and his team. Nemanja Matic has already played under Mourinho at Chelsea FC and Manchester United.
After Jose Mourinho took United’s job, he signed Nemanja Matic from Chelsea to make the midfield of United strong. He did well under Jose and thus would have no problem in joining AS Roma. AS Roma has recently won the UEFA Conference League under manager Jose Mourinho.
Nemanja Matic will complete his transfer to Roma once he officially posts his decision of leaving United. Matic is definitely leaving the club (Man United) this summer as reported by Fabrizio Romano, only an official announcement is pending. Manchester United lost four midfielders before this summer transfer window as Paul Pogba, Lingard, Juan Mata and now Matic all are leaving the club. Thus, they desperately needs a midfielder now and they have already started working on it. There are so many names coming up these days that can become the part of Manchester United’s rebuilding under new manager Erik ten Hag.
