Neymar could soon be seen leaving Al Hilal in upcoming transfer windows. The Saudi Pro League side is said to be frustrated with the injury-prone Brazilian for his lack of availability.

The midfielder, who recently returned from a long-running ACL injury,  suffered another setback with a hamstring injury that is set to keep him out of action for four to six weeks. Therefore, Al Hilal is planning to drop him in the market.

The 32-year-old played only 27 minutes against Esteghlal of Iran during the AFC Champions League. The Brazilian international entered the match in the second half at the 58th minute. By the 85th minute, he realized some issues with his right knee and had to leave the field, visibly frustrated.

“What I love most in life is playing football. I suffer every day that I cannot do it. This is what hurts me the most,” Neymar in an interview.

This situation has caused frustration among fans.

Since joining Al Hilal in August 2023 from PSG, Neymar has scored just one goal and provided three assists in seven appearances. The club might be tempted to remove him as Neymar occupies one of the 10 foreign player slots.

Should Neymar become available on a free transfer this winter, he might set his eyes on home club Santos. It is said he remains eager to rejoin the Brazilian outfit in case he makes an exit from Al-Hilal. In return, Santos is rumoured to be committed to reuniting with the footballer.  Whether the former PSG star reappears in Santos colours this January or waits until mid-2025, it remains to be seen.

Neymar could also reunite with former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suárez at Inter Maimi given that club owner David Bekham had recently expressed his eagerness to have him on the side.

However, his recent injury history might be a concern with Miami as well as MLS’ strict roster rules that would force them to offload one of their three Designated Players-Messi, Busquets and Leo Campana- to pay Neymar’s salary.
