Novak Djokovic Breaks Roger Federer’s Record To Become The Oldest….

It feels like just yesterday when Novak Djokovic broke a record as he became the man with the most wins in a particular category, surpassing Rafael Nadal by marking his 411th win at the ATP Masters 1000 events in the Miami Open 2025.

The tournament is of great significance for him because he already holds the joint record for most title wins at the tournament, and if he manages to pull off a win this year, he will set a record for most title wins at the Miami Open. Not only that, but the tournament has also proved to be important for Djokovic as it marks a great run in his 2025 campaign after a long time.

Now, Novak Djokovic has broken yet another record. He became the oldest player to reach an ATP Masters 1000 semifinal, overtaking his former arch-enemy, Roger Federer. He achieved this feat at the age of 37 years and ten months, whereas Federer achieved this mark at the age of 37 years and seven months.

The legendary tennis player could not hide his excitement, and honestly, we understand. The win came after a series of disappointing early exits at major tournaments like the Australian Open and multiple close heartbreaks as he lost in the end. Winning the Miami Open 2025 will be his 25th Grand Slam title and his 99th tour-level title, which will make him a step closer to becoming the third player in history to cross the 100-title milestone.

Now, Novak Djokovic will face Grigor Dimitrov in the semifinals, which is scheduled for 28 March 2025 at the Hard Rock Stadium. Dimitrov has showcased a strong form throughout the tournament despite recovering from injuries earlier this year, which will make it harder for Novak to reach the finals. If he does reach the finals, he will be facing either Taylor Fritz or Jakub Mensik in a final match on 30 March 2025.
