Ahead of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), all ten franchises have announced the list of players they have retained and released.
While most teams have decided to stick with the core players they acquired in the mega auction, some high-profile players have been released by their teams, including Kane Williamson and Mayank Agarwal, who led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) last season after being bought for Rs. 14 crore.
Kieron Pollard (now retired) and Dwayne Bravo, two of the league’s greatest-ever players, have been released by the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), respectively.
