Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen has officially joined the Premier League side Manchester United on a free transfer. Manchester United made this transfer news official on Friday evening on all their social media handles and their official website. Christian Eriksen wanted to go United and he wanted this transfer to happen.
There were other clubs who were interested in him including his former clubs named Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford where he played 6-months on loan. Christian Eriksen had a cardiac arrest one-year ago and after then he was ruled out from the Italian league named Serie A as per their rules. He switched the club and went to Brentford FC where he performed really well.
Brentford also wanted to buy him but Erik ten Hag (Manchester United’s new manager) called Eriksen and said him how important he can in rebuilding the United’s squad.
“Manchester United is a special club, and I cannot wait to get started. I have had the privilege of playing at Old Trafford many times but to do it in the red shirt of United will be an amazing feeling,” said Christian Eriksen as posted on Manchester United’s official website.
