La Liga side FC Barcelona have completed another signing in this summer transfer window. A central defender is a new addition to Xavi’s (FC Barcelona’s manager) team. Jules Kounde has joined the club officially on a permanent deal on Thursday, 28th July. Jules Kounde joined the side from another La Liga club named Sevilla FC.
Both of the Sevilla’s main defenders left the club this summer as Diego Carlos joined the Premier League side Aston Villa and Kounde left for Barcelona. Barcelona made this deal official on Thursday on all their social media handles and official website as well. Jules Kounde also said some words after joining his new club.
“I’m really proud, grateful. I can’t wait to join the team and start this Barcelona story. I say thanks to Sevilla, but of course Barça is a top step in my career – so here I wanna win all competitions,” said Jules Kounde as tweeted by Fabrizio Romano on Thursday.
Kounde is a high class french central defender and has a great skills. Xavi wanted to sign him as they were looking for a defender like this for a long time.
