1. Anil Kumble (RCB, 2009) – 38 years, 219 days

Anil Kumble holds the record for being the oldest player to win the ‘Player of the Match’ award in an IPL final. He won the award in 2009 against the Deccan Chargers, and achieved this feat at the age of 38 years and 219 days old. That year, the Deccan Chargers also won the IPL title

Kohli achieved the feat at the age of 37 years and 207 days in IPL 2026. He has also become the second-oldest player to win the ‘Player of the Match’ award in an IPL final.

3. Faf du Plessis (CSK, 2021) – 37 years, 94 days

Faf du Plessis ranks third on the list of oldest players to win “Player of the match” in IPL final. Faf du Plessis was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ in the 2021 IPL final while playing for the Chennai Super Kings. At that time, Faf was 37 years and 94 days old. That year, CSK emerged as champions for the fourth time.

4. Shane Watson (CSK, 2018) – 36 years, 344 days

Shane Warne ranks fifth on the list of oldest players to win “Player of the match” in IPL final. He won the “Player of the Match” award in IPL 2018, he achieved the feat at the age of 36 years and 344 days. CSK went onto win the IPL title that season.
