Over 350 Athletes Register for Inaugural Ultimate Pickleball Championship
More than 350 participants from across India sign up for the first-ever Ultimate Pickleball Championship, set to take place in Mumbai from September 29 to October 1. The tournament aims to elevate pickleball’s international profile and competitiveness.

An impressive contingent of over 350 athletes from various parts of India has enthusiastically registered for the inaugural edition of the Ultimate Pickleball Championship. Organized in collaboration with the All India Pickleball Association, the championship is an initiative by Pro World Talent Sports. This eagerly anticipated tournament is scheduled to unfold in Mumbai from September 29th to October 1st, with the primary objective of fostering international competition and enhancing the prominence of pickleball within India.
One of the notable features of this championship is its recognition as a Tier 3 World Ranking tournament. This prestigious designation allows participants to accumulate valuable points that contribute to their global rankings and standings. Anticipation is mounting as the event will witness the participation of top-seeded Indian players such as Aditya Rohilla, Tejas Mahajan, Himansh, Vanshik, Kuldeep, and Sonu Kumar, among others. Notably, the tournament will also feature leading Indian women players like Snehal Patil, Isha Lakhani, Urvi Abhyankar, and Anuja Maheshwari.

Under the tagline “Where Champions Compete,” the tournament’s format includes six categories catering to both men and women, designed to accommodate various age groups and skill levels. These categories encompass under 16, under 19, 35 plus, 50 plus, 60 plus, and an open category. Adding a poignant touch to the event, there will be a special team competition in honor of the late Arjun Kothiya, a highly regarded figure in the pickleball community. This commemorative event underscores the close-knit nature of the pickleball community and their commitment to preserving the sport’s heritage.
