Michael Owen, the legendary Liverpool striker says that Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are “not characteristic finishers”.

Jurgen Klopp’s side was left to mourn yet more botched opportunities as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday.

Salah opened the scoring with a great goal in the initial minutes, yet after that Liverpool neglected to take anything else of their chances.

Mane got a few opportunities to get a second goal for the home side, as did Salah and forwards Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.

As a result of many missed chances and a disallowed goal due to VAR, Liverpool dropped points when Joe Willock scored a stoppage-time goal, making the scoreline 1-1.

Joe Willock is currently on loan from Arsenal’s side and is expected to stay there till the end of the season.
