Australian broadcasters made fun of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium’s pitch condition ahead of the first Test match of three-match Test series between Pat Cummins-led Australia National Cricket Team and Babar Azam-led Pakistan National Cricket Team.
The historic Australia tour of Pakistan 2022 is ready to begin from March 4. The tour has three-match Test series, which will be played from March 4 to 25, a three-match One Day International series, which will be played from March 29 to April 2, and a sole T20 International match, which will be played on April 5.
This will be Australia’s first tour of Pakistan since the year 1998 and the teams will be competing for the inaugural Benaud-Qadir Trophy, which has been named after legendary Australian leg-spinner Richie Benaud and Pakistan leg-spinner Abdul Qadir. From now onwards the Benaud-Qadir Trophy will be presented at the end of each men’s Test series between Pakistan and Australia.

“My role is going to change across the test matches. There’s going to be times where I’ll be in a holding role … where there is opportunity for me to be more attacking I will,” Lyon said.
“All bowlers in our squad are well prepared to play whatever role it takes to perform well. It’s going to be challenging but we’ve got the squad to cover all areas.”
“My mindset is every game we go into, we will look to win, not draw or lose. My mindset is to win 3-0 in Pakistan,” He concluded.
