In Pakistan’s tour of South Africa on the 3rd T20 International match, Pakistan managed to achieve their highest ever run chase in the team’s T20 history. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl, batting first, South Africa posted a sturdy score of 203 for 5 wickets as Aiden Markram and Janneman Malan both scored impressive half-centuries.
Chasing a target of 204, Pakistan’s young opening order displayed their best from the beginning, Babar Azam got his first T20i hundred just off of 49 balls while trashing fifteen boundaries and four sixes along the way. Babar Azam trashed a whopping 122 off of 59 balls before being dismissed just 7 runs short of the target.
South Africa’s bowling attack seemed full against Pakistan’s aggressive batting style as even their Trump card Tabraiz Shamsi was widely ineffective against Pakistani batsmen.
Mohammed Rizwan who is usually known for his aggressive batting style took the reserved role today as he perfectly supported Babar Azam’s Stellar innings while scoring 73 runs off of 47 balls as he remained not-out till the end.
