The Multan Sultans is a franchise cricket team competing in the Pakistan Super League. The city of Multan serves as the team’s home base, representing the southern part of the province of Punjab. Since its formation in 2018, the squad has been actively participating. The players for the Multan Sultans are the team’s backbone and the engine that propels them to victory. President and owner of Schön Properties Alimgar Khan Tareen also owns the team. Multan Sultans have been PSL regulars since their inception, and every year they have been challenged for the league title.

A member of the Pakistan Super League since its inception in 2018, the squad is one of six in the league. The 2018 season was the squad’s first competitive outing, and they ended up placing third in league with a 7–7 record. Since then, they’ve been a reliable team, making the playoffs in 2019 and 2020 three times and eventually winning it all in 2021. They were ignoring coach Andy Flower’s orders. Multan Sultans won PSL Season 6 in 2021 and finished as runner-up the following year in PSL Season 7.

Multan Sultans Achievements:
- The Multan Sultans scored a PSL-record 260 against the Quetta Gladiators at Lahore Cricket Ground in the 2022 season, the second-best total in PSL history. Multan scored 245 runs in 20 overs, which was their greatest PSL total.
- In PSL 7, Multan Sultans was led by Rizwan, and they won nine of their ten matches.
- In its inaugural season, Multan Sultans finished fourth in the league stage with six wins out of ten matches, qualifying for the postseason. They eliminated playoff contenders Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi to claim the title of South Punjab’s first-ever champions.
- Mohammad Rizwan earned the title of “Man of the Series” for his pivotal role in the team’s triumph. The Multan Sultans have reached the postseason every year since their inception.
- Under Shan Masood’s leadership, the Multan Sultans have been dominant in HBL PSL 2020. They won six games and lost only two in a total of ten. When in fact, two games had to be postponed because of the weather. As the top team in the PSL 2020 group stage, they earned automatic advancement to the postseason.
