The Quetta Gladiators play professional Twenty-20 cricket out of Quetta, Pakistan. They compete in Pakistan’s highest-level Twenty20 league, the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Over the years, the Quetta Gladiator team has seen many brilliant players come and go, with some going on to become household names worldwide. Having joined the PSL in its first year of existence in 2015, they are one of the league’s longest-tenured teams. The current captain and team owner Nadeem Omar is Sarfraz Ahmed.
The Gladiators, founded by a group of local businessmen, swiftly rose to prominence as one of the region’s most popular teams thanks to their lively, entertaining cricket brand and ability to draw large audiences to their home stadium. Three times, the Quetta Gladiator players advanced to the postseason of the Pakistan Super League, with the 2019 season marking their finest showing. There are six clubs in the Pakistan Super League, and this one represents the city of Quetta in the province of Balochistan (PSL). The PSL championship is just one of many notable accomplishments for the Quetta Gladiators.

The Quetta Gladiators are a part of the Pakistan Super League, which has quickly become one of the most popular Twenty20 tournaments in all crickets. After their victory over Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL championship game in 2019, they were able to claim the league championship for themselves. Quetta won the league and finished in second place in the league’s first two seasons, which were 2016 and 2017. In 2016, they were defeated by Islamabad United, and Peshawar Zalmi defeated them the following year.

Quetta Gladiators Sponsors:
In January 2016, owner Nadeem Omer conducted two ceremonies to unveil the team’s logo, uniforms, and name. The emblem depicts the type of helmet worn by Roman gladiators. The helmet features a purple and gold bat emblem signifying a pair of swords. Their catchphrase, “Kai Kai Quetta,” essentially means “we are coming.” Edenrobe and ACM Gold participated in the 2016 campaign as the team’s title sponsor and official partner, respectively. Jubilee Insurance took over as Quetta’s primary title sponsor for the upcoming second season. In addition to Chocka and the KHL, Master Oil came on board as the team’s formal partner and became the associate sponsor. Tapmad was the official streaming partner for the team, while PTV Sports and Suno FM 89.4 were the team’s official media partners.

Quetta Gladiators Achievements:
- The Quetta Gladiators have been among the league’s most reliable teams. It has made it into the three completed seasons. Also, in 2016 and 2017, they finished second in their respective seasons.
- They are one of just three PSL teams, along with Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, to reach a PSL final. Each side played two championship games. The 2017 season also saw the squad get the ‘Spirit of Cricket Award and its accompanying financial prize of US$ 20,000.
- This is a huge sum, Chasee. The Quetta Gladiators have three of their four best totals and chases against the Lahore Qalandars. The 2022 season at Karachi Ground saw the highest. They scored 207/3, which was their best performance in PSL play.
- Against Islamabad United, Gladiators’ Englishman Luke Wright scored 86 runs off of 53 balls, one of the team’s most impressive performances. The all-rounder Grant Elliot has also lit the league on fire with 15 wickets in just 8 games for the team.
