The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the start of ticket sales for the Sri Lankan leg of the Asia Cup 2023, featuring the much-awaited India vs Pakistan match scheduled for September 2. The announcement from PCB informs that tickets for the initial phase of the Sri Lanka leg will be available for purchase from 12 pm PST (12:30 pm IST) on August 17. Cricket enthusiasts can secure their tickets through the official platform pcb.bookme.pk. The PCB and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will share updates on ticket availability through their official social media channels.

A second phase of ticket sales for the Sri Lanka leg will commence at 6:30 pm PST (7 pm IST) on the same day, August 17. This phase holds particular significance as fans will have the opportunity to secure their seats for the highly anticipated and intense clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, scheduled to take place on September 2.

The Sri Lanka leg of the Asia Cup 2023 will feature nine matches, concluding with the grand final. The series will commence with a match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on August 31.

The Asia Cup 2023 promises an exciting lineup of matches, with the tournament’s launch week marking the initiation of ticket sales for the matches in Pakistan. The cricket extravaganza will commence in Multan on August 30, where the host nation, Pakistan, will face Nepal.

The tournament, scheduled to begin on August 30, will showcase the intense rivalry between India and Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The Asia Cup 2023 adopts a hybrid model, with Pakistan hosting four matches and the remaining taking place in Sri Lanka. The tournament’s total of nine fixtures will be held in the picturesque settings of the Emerald Isle.

The participating teams are divided into two groups: Group A includes India, Pakistan, and Nepal, while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.

The action-packed series will proceed to the Super Four stage on September 6, featuring a showdown between the top teams from their respective groups. The tournament’s final is scheduled for September 17 in Colombo.

In line with the ICC Cricket World Cup’s upcoming 50-over format from October 5 to November 19, the Asia Cup 2023 will further elevate its significance on the cricketing calendar.

Sri Lanka, the defending champions with six titles, will aim to maintain their legacy of success. Meanwhile, India boasts an impressive seven titles, establishing them as the most successful team in the history of the Asia Cup tournament.
