The Texas Open was first played in 1922, making it one of the most prominent and oldest tournaments on the PGA Tour. The tour is notable for being the oldest professional golf tournament continuously held in the same city.

The Texas Open is all set to begin on 3 April and conclude on 6 April in the Oaks Course, in TPC San Antonio in Texas. The format offers a 72-hole stroke play with a 36-hole cut and features the defending champion, Akshay Bhatia, Ludwig Aberg, and Patrick Cantlay. The tournament also features an initial lineup of approximately 153 competitors and serves as a final opportunity for players to prepare for the upcoming Masters tournament.
The Texas Open is being played at the Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio, which is a prominent venue for the event. The course is stretched around 7,435 yards. The course design features tree-lined fairways with native oak trees, large, rolling greens, and strategically placed bunkers.
