  • Chawla is said to make his debut for India’s U19 side against England’s U19 squad in 2004–2005, picking up 13 wickets from two U-19 Test matches with a bowling average of slightly over 12 runs per over.
  • According to reports, he successfully managed to take three wickets on his ODI debut, which was a great success. Later, he managed to register three wickets in the second ODI against Ireland and was as brilliant as his first ODI match.
