Cristiano Ronaldo scored 450 goals for Real Madrid, 145 for Manchester United, 101 for Juventus, 68 for Al Nassr and five for Sporting CP. Ronaldo has scored 132 goals for Portugal.

2. Lionel Messi – 838 goals 

Lionel Messi, another legendary player, sits second on the list of players with the most goals in football history. He delivered an brilliant performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, leading his nation to the trophy. 

Messi has been one of the most prolific footballers. The Argentine has scored 838 goals in official games. Out of these, 729 goals have been scored in club football and 109 have been netted in international football.

3. Pele – 765 goals 

Pele, the Brazillian legend, is respected by football fan cutting across generations . He is arguably one of the greatest players in the history of football. He has scored 765 goals in official football games.  Out of them, over 650 goals came in club football.

The football legend was one of the first football superstars with his exploits with Brazil, winning three World Cups. He stands at number three on the list of players with most goals in football history.

4. Romario – 756 goals 

Romario was a clinical striker who has scored fantastic goals throughout his career. He has scored 756 official goals in his career.  He is also among the few players who have scored at 100 goals or more for three different clubs. He bagged  the Golden Ball in the 1994 FIFA World Cup and emerged as the player of the tournament. 5. Ferenc Puskás – 753 goals 

Ferenc Puskás is regarded as one of the greatest strikers of all time. As per his name, currently, an award is given based on the best goal scored in a football season. The Hungarian has scored 753 goals in total in official football matches in his career.  

In a football career spanning from 1931 to 1955 Puskás has scored 84 goals for his national team. He is at number five on the list of players with most goals in football history in games.
