Athletes from around the world are competing at the Paris Olympics 2024 in various spheres of sports. While many stay away from families during the period, others are lucky to have their partners around.
Here are the couples who are both competing at the Paris Olympics 2024:
Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird
Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird are an athletic couple from the United States. While Rapinoe is a soccer star, Bird a basketball professional. They first met in 2016 Rio Games and also appeared together at 2020 Tokyo Games. Now they are competing in Paris alongside each other.
Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt
American fencing stars Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt have already featured in three consecutive Olympic Games together. Paris Olympics will be their fourth in the course of their 12-year relationship including five years of marriage. Kiefer became the first American foil fencer to win an individual Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo Games, and Meinhardt took home a bronze medal.
Junelle Bromfield and Noah Lyles
Junelle Bromfield from Jamaica and Noah Lyles from the United States are another power couple competing at Paris Olympics 2024. They will be competing in track events. What started as a friendship in 2017 eventually developed into a romantic relationship.
Katie Boulter and Alex De Minaur
Tennis stars Alex De Minaur and Katie Boulter will make their Olympic debut for Great Britain and Australia at the Paris Games. Minaur and Boulter first met in a hotel where both of them were staying and the connection blossomed as they started dating in 2020.
Sydney McLaughlin and Andre Levrone Jr.
Italian couple Rossella Fiamingo and Gregorio Paltrinieri are currently engaged and soon planning to take the next step. While Fiamingo is a three-time Olympic fencer who has secured both a silver and bronze medal, Paltrinieri is an Olympic gold and silver medal winner in swimming.
Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils
Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils represent Ukraine and France respectively in tennis. At the Tokyo Games, Svitolina became the first Ukraine Olympian to win a medal for the country. For Monfils, Paris will mark his fourth Olympic appearance. They tied the knot in 2021 and became proud parents of their daughter, Skai the next year.

Dominik Cerny and Hana Burzalova
Both Dominik Cerny and Hana Burzalova are race walkers who represent Slovakia. After completing an olympic cycle in their relationship, both race walkers will be competing at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Gabriella Willems and Christian Parlati
While Gabriella Willems represents Belgium, Christian Parlati plays for Italy in Judo. The couple will be competing on the same day at the Paris Games. This will be Christian’s second Olympic games and Gabriella will mark her Olympic debut.
