Prime Minister Modi Praises Vaibhav Suryavanshi: In an emotional speech at the launch of the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old cricketing prodigy from Bihar, for his mind-numbing and record-breaking performance at IPL 2025.
Vaibhav from Samastipur shocked the cricketing world when he scored a century in just 35 balls representing the Rajasthan Royals against the Gujarat Titans.

Modi also remarked on the three forms of classic Indian sport, which added, in particular, Gatka, Kho-Kho, Mallakhamb, and Yogasana into the Khelo India Youth Games. “In the last few years, our sportspersons have brought pride to the nation even in new sports like Wushu, Lawn Bowls, and Roller Skating,” he said.
