On Day 5 of the 2nd Khelo India Sub Junior Women’s Hockey League – Phase 1, Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance Centre, Khelo India Sports Excellence Centre, Chhattisgarh, and Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy emerged victorious in their respective matches, while Jai Bharat Academy and Salute Hockey Academy played to a draw.
In the opening match of the day, Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance Centre showcased a dominant performance, defeating Khalsa Hockey Academy Amritsar 9-0. Pragya Patel’s hat-trick (17′, 25′, 39′) led the scoring, supported by goals from Anjana Barla (10′, 47′), Sanadam Babyrani Devi (7′), Payal Sonkar (15′), Srutika Kullu (52′), and Sweety Kujur (58′).
Khelo India Sports Excellence Centre, Chhattisgarh, continued the winning streak with an 8-1 triumph over Anantpur Sports Academy. Madhu Sidar secured a hat-trick (26′, 40′, 50′), and Damini Khusro added a brace (4′, 51′), while Yashoda Meravi (17′), Captain Rukhman Khusro (35’), and Akshita (53′) contributed with individual goals. Anantpur Sports Academy’s lone goal came from M. Shalini (37′).

In the third match, Pritam Siwach Hockey Academy demonstrated dominance with a 7-0 victory against Bhai Behlo Hockey Academy Bhagta. Ritika (12′, 30′) and Jyoti (13′, 32′) scored braces, and Vanshika (8′), Diksha (14′), and Priya Chauhan (29’) added individual goals to the tally.
The encounter between Jai Bharat Hockey Academy and Salute Hockey Academy ended in a 1-1 draw. Loveleen (20’) converted a penalty corner for Salute Hockey Academy, and Nisha (25’) equalized with a field goal for Jai Bharat Hockey Academy, resulting in a deadlock as both teams failed to score in the second half.
The Khelo India Sub Junior Women’s Hockey League has been witnessing intense competition, with more than 300 young athletes participating across various categories. The matches promise to showcase the emerging talent in women’s hockey, contributing to the growth of the sport in India.
