The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026 is set to make a grand return after a six years of hiatus. The Pro Wrestling League is a wrestling league based in India. It was launched in 2015 by the Wrestling Federation of India.
More than 300 wrestlers from over 20 countries – including Olympic medallists, World Championships finalists and India’s top competitors – will feature in the edition.

When is the PWL 2026 taking place?
The league will kick start on January 15 and will culminate with the grand finale on February 1.

The actions will take place at the iconic Noida Indoor Stadium in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
How many teams will take part in the PWL 2026?
A total of six teams will take part in the league. They are as follows:
- Delhi Sultans
- UP Dangal
- Haryana Hammers
- MP Yodha
- Mumbai Maharathi
- NCR Punjab Royals
What are the weight categories at the PWL 2026?
The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) will have five weight categories for men and four for women. They are as follows:
Men’s: 57 kg, 65 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, 125 kg
Women’s: 53 kg, 57 kg, 62 kg, 76 kg

What will be the team combinations at the PWL 2026?
All six teams will have nine wrestlers, including four women, on their roster. All teams can have five Indian and four foreign wrestlers. Notably, about 44% of all scheduled bouts will feature women.
Officials said the diversity and calibre of athletes reflects the global wrestling community’s recognition of PWL as a serious and high-value platform. With elite international wrestlers and India’s rising stars in the mix, PWL 2026 is expected to be one of the biggest sporting events of the year.
Team announcements, trophy launch, auction dates and fan engagement activities will be revealed in the coming weeks. The previous edition was held in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic halted the league.
