The Pro Wrestling League, sanctioned by the Wrestling Federation of India, has officially revealed its new logo ahead of the much-awaited fifth season. The launch marks an important moment for Indian wrestling, as the league prepares to return after a seven-year break. With this fresh identity, PWL is signalling a new beginning and a renewed vision ahead of its comeback in January 2026.

A Fresh Identity With Deep Roots

The newly introduced logo carries a modern and energetic look, drawing inspiration from the traditional red and blue wrestling mat. It represents strength, balance, and the fierce competitive spirit of the sport. This update goes far beyond a simple design change. It reflects a complete reset for the league, which has gone through a major structural and operational overhaul under new leadership.

New Ownership and Athlete-First Vision

The Pro Wrestling League is now owned and operated by ONO Media, led by partners Akhil Gupta and Dayaan Farooqui. The new management has moved away from earlier systems and is focused on building a transparent and athlete-first environment. Their aim is to promote professionalism, integrity, and long-term stability within Indian wrestling.

Bridging Akhadas and the Global Stage

At the heart of PWL’s renewed mission is the goal of creating a world-class professional platform for wrestlers. The league wants to connect grassroots akhadas with the international competitive stage, offering structured opportunities, global exposure, and a professionally managed setting. This approach is designed to support athletes while helping wrestling grow in credibility and popularity across India.

Strong Partnership With Wrestling Federation of India

The revamped league is working closely with the Wrestling Federation of India to ensure everything aligns with national rules and governance standards. This partnership is expected to create a stronger pathway for young wrestlers, helping them move smoothly from traditional training setups to national and international recognition.

Leadership Shares the Vision Behind the Relaunch

Speaking on the occasion, Akhil Gupta, CEO, Pro Wrestling League, said, “The new logo reflects our vision for the future of the Pro Wrestling League – modern, aggressive and world-class. More importantly, it represents a clean slate. We are building a league that honours the sport and its athletes through transparency, professionalism and long-term commitment. The past is behind us, and the focus is firmly on creating a sustainable ecosystem for Indian wrestling.”

Chairman Dayaan Farooqui also shared his thoughts on the relaunch. “This logo launch marks the beginning of a new era for the Pro Wrestling League. The identity represents trust, opportunity, and ambition. As we prepare for our return after seven years, our priority is firmly on placing athletes at the center of the ecosystem and delivering a league that wrestlers, fans, and stakeholders can truly believe in,” he said.

PWL Set for January 2026 Comeback

The Pro Wrestling League is scheduled to return in January 2026 and will feature leading Indian and international wrestlers. Fans can expect high-energy competition supported by a commercially strong and sustainable framework. With a new logo, fresh leadership, and a reimagined structure, PWL is aiming to open a new chapter for professional wrestling in India.
