Haryana Thunders were crowned champions of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026 after surviving a pulsating, back-and-forth final against Delhi Dangal Warriors at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Sunday night.

In a summit clash that went right down to the final bout, Haryana edged Delhi 5–4, with Paris Olympics silver medallist Iryna Koliadenko delivering under immense pressure in the decisive women’s 62kg contest.

With the teams locked at 4–4 after eight bouts, Koliadenko produced a ruthless display against Anjli, chaining together takedowns, turns and exposure points to register a commanding 16–0 technical superiority win and seal the title for Haryana Thunders.

The final began at a frenetic pace, with Delhi striking first through their talisman Turan Bayramov, who defeated Parvinder 8–2 in the men’s 74kg bout to continue his unbeaten run. Haryana responded immediately in the women’s 76kg category, where U20 world champion Kajal Dhochak edged past European champion Anastasiya Alpyeeva 3–1 to level the tie.

Momentum swung repeatedly through the night. Delhi captain Sujeet Kalkal staged a stunning late comeback to beat Tömör-Ochiryn Tulga 8–6 in the men’s 65kg bout, before Haryana’s multiple-time world champion Yui Susaki dominated Saarika by technical superiority to make it 2–2. Delhi regained the lead through Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar in the 86kg men’s bout, only for Haryana’s Akshay Dhere to restore parity with a commanding win in the 57kg category.

The heavyweight bout saw Ronak overpower Anirudh Gulia 12–2 to put Delhi 4–3 ahead, but Neha Sangwan kept Haryana alive by pinning Anjali in the women’s 57kg contest, setting up a winner-takes-all finale.

Among individual honours, Bayramov was named Player of the Tournament after winning all seven of his bouts and accumulating 59 points, while Chandermohan of Punjab Royals finished as the highest overall point scorer. Neha Sangwan won Player of the Match, Ronak was named Fighter of the Match, and Akshay Dhere claimed Impact Player of the Match.
