Paris Saint-Germain’s manager Mauricio Pochettino is set to be sacked by the club soon. Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week that PSG has already started looking for a new manager as they don’t feel Mauricio Pochettino is the right man for them.
“Paris Saint-Germain are finally prepared to announce Mauricio Pochettino and Leonardo’s departure. Nasser Al-Khelaifi will be ready for final meetings in order to decide on new manager,” tweeted Fabrizio Romano on Sunday morning (IST).
Paris Saint-Germain signed so many players last summer including some big names like Lionel Messi from Barcelona and Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool but the lack of improvement in players and lack of team performance led PSG to think about sacking their manager Mauricio Pochettino. PSG also looking for the man who can make them UEFA Champions League winners. Last season was poor for PSG in the Champions League as they were beaten by Real Madrid in the round of 16 and went out of the league.
Despite winning the Ligue 1 this season, Mauricio Pochettino’s performance is not so impressive as per PSG. Thus, the announcement can be made soon by the club as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
