The PUBG Mobile 4.2 update is coming soon, and it brings a brand-new themed mode called PrimeWood Genesis. Level Infinite has now revealed a new special map area named Primewood Heart. This location plays an important role in the update, as players can unlock a powerful item called the Prime Eye here.
Below is a simple and clear look at everything new in this update.
PUBG Mobile 4.2 Update: Primewood Heart Explained
Primewood Heart is a key area in the PrimeWood Genesis themed mode. Players can enter this location through the Ishtar Gate. Once inside, the area feels different from normal map zones and focuses more on special abilities than pure gun fights.
The main reward inside Primewood Heart is the Prime Eye. This rare item gives players strong control over the battleground and can change how matches are played.
Prime Eye: Special Powers and Skills
The Prime Eye is one of the most powerful items introduced in PUBG Mobile so far. After obtaining it, players can activate a bird’s-eye view of the Erangel map and use multiple skills to control fights and movement.
The Prime Eye skills include:
Barrier
Creates a large shield that blocks bullets and stops enemy fire from passing through.
Teleport
Allows players to place two portals. Players can move in one direction from the first portal to the second.
Heal
Summons a healing area that slowly restores health and can revive knocked teammates.
Corrupting Flowers
Releases damaging plants in an area. Enemies inside the range take damage. Destroying these plants rewards players with high-level loot.
These abilities make the Prime Eye very useful in both attack and defense situations.
New Themed Weapon: Overgrowth – Honey Badger
The PUBG Mobile 4.2 update also introduces a themed version of the Honey Badger called Overgrowth.
This weapon has unique features that make it different from regular guns:
It restores a small amount of health and energy after knocking or eliminating enemies.
Weapon stability improves if the player stays still for a few seconds.
Players can switch weapon forms to change firing modes. The explosive mode uses more ammo but deals stronger damage.
Because of these abilities, Overgrowth – Honey Badger works well with aggressive playstyles.
PUBG Mobile 4.2 Update: Cooperative Climbing Feature
Another major addition in the 4.2 update is Cooperative Climbing. This feature allows teammates to help each other reach higher places that are not accessible alone, especially near Sacred Deer paths.
All players will have a Co-op Wristband in their backpack by default. When equipped, it allows cooperative climbing actions.
There are two main ways to use this feature:
Lifting a Teammate
A player can crouch and prepare a stance to lift a teammate. Other players can jump on the hands to reach higher spots.
Pulling a Teammate
A player standing above can prepare a stance and pull teammates up from below.
Climbing movement is now smoother, and camera angles during climbing have also been improved for better control.
