Level Infinite has released the first beta version of the PUBG Mobile 4.2 update. This new update brings a fresh themed mode called Primewood Genesis. It introduces new map areas, special vehicles, unique items, and a brand-new planting system. The update focuses on nature, energy, and survival, giving players a very different battlefield experience.

Below is a simple and clear breakdown of everything coming in the PUBG Mobile 4.2 update.

PUBG Mobile 4.2 Update: Primewood Genesis Themed Mode

The Primewood Genesis mode is built around the power of a Sacred Tree. Its energy changes the land, reshapes cities, and creates dangerous corrupted zones. Players must fight against natural corruption, clear infected areas, and help restore balance to the map.

The mode encourages exploration, teamwork, and smart fights. Clearing corruption not only makes areas safer but also gives players useful rewards.

New Map Area: Corrupted City

In Corrupted City, familiar urban areas now look very different. Buildings are changed by the Sacred Tree’s energy, and strange plants grow everywhere.

Fog in these areas can reduce vision, making fights more risky. Thick vines and massive tree roots block some paths, stopping players from entering certain zones.

To access blocked areas, players must purify the corruption nearby. Once cleaned, the roots slowly disappear, allowing normal movement and loot access again.

Corruption Plant Zone Explained

Corruption Plant Zones are dangerous areas marked on the map. These zones contain powerful corrupted plants filled with dark energy.

Players need to destroy all corrupted plants in the zone. Once cleared, the Sacred Tree responds by dropping supply rewards. These zones often attract multiple teams, leading to intense early and mid-game battles.

PUBG Mobile 4.2 Update Expected Release Date

Based on previous update schedules and early information, the PUBG Mobile 4.2 update is expected to release on January 7, 2026. This date is not official yet, and Level Infinite may confirm it later.

PUBG Mobile 4.2 Update: New Themed Vehicles

The update adds two nature-based vehicles that change movement and combat.

Sacred Deer

The Sacred Deer is a peaceful yet useful ride for two players. As it moves, flowers and plants grow beneath its feet, leaving a green trail behind. It is fast, smooth, and ideal for quiet rotations.

Bramblewood Scorpion

The Bramblewood Scorpion is a large combat vehicle that can be summoned using a special item. It carries two players and offers powerful abilities.

It can dig underground to move safely without taking damage. It can fire spike bombs to slow enemies, attack nearby players with strong pincers, and even launch the passenger forward for quick escapes or surprise attacks.

PUBG Mobile 4.2 Update: Florawings Themed Item

Florawings give players floral wings on their back and unlock flight skills. These wings allow short flights, fast dashes, and special landing effects.

When landing, Florawings release a pollen flash that briefly blinds enemies nearby. The wings use energy, so players must manage flight time carefully. Strong attacks or indoor areas can stop flight early.

Vine Manipulation Ability

This new ability lets players control vines during battle. When activated, vines create a shield around the player and spread toward a selected area.

If vines catch an enemy, they trap them for a short time. Enemies can break free, but it takes effort. Both the vines and the trapped enemies have health bars, making this skill balanced and tactical.

Lumina Fruit Planting System

The 4.2 update also adds a long-term reward feature called Lumina Fruit Planting.

Players can find Lumina Fruit buds in Primewood Genesis mode and plant them on the map. These plants grow across multiple matches and store energy underground.

After a few games, the plant becomes ready to harvest and gives supply rewards. However, other players can see mature plants and may try to steal them. If someone steals your fruit, their location will be shown to you for a short time, creating chances for revenge.
