The Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) welcomed a new team for Season 2. The latest franchise to join the league is Purvanchal Panthers, which is co-owned by Arnav Gupta, Director of Citiyano De Resource Exim Pvt. Ltd., and Aradhya Gupta, Director of Citiyano De Firenze.
With this inclusion, UPKL now comprises of 11 teams, keeping in line with the league’s objective to expand its reach, strengthen regional representation, and build a professional kabaddi ecosystem across the state.

The Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League Season 2 player auction will take place on November 3 in Noida, and matches begin from December 25, 2025 in Noida.
