Rafael Nadal beats Matteo Berrettini to reach his sixth Australian Open final, putting him one win away from breaking the record.

With a 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Matteo Berrettini on Friday, the 35-year-old Spaniard moved to the Australian Open final for the sixth time.

Rafael Nadal is one win away from achieving his 21st Grand Slam singles title. As of now, Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are all tied at 20 grand slams.

With a 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Matteo Berrettini on Friday, the 35-year-old Spaniard moved to the Australian Open final for the sixth time.
After months off the road recovering from injuries and then a case with COVID-19, he landed in Australia not knowing how long he’d endure.
He won a tune-up competition and has now won six matches in the year’s opening Grand Slam tournament.

If he wins one more tournament, he would equal Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic’s record of 20 majors. He’ll also become only the fourth guy to win all four Grand Slam titles at least twice in his career.
He will face the winner of the later semifinal between U.S. Open champion Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas in the championship match on Sunday.
