Rahul Dravid to coach Indian Team on Sri Lanka tour!

India’s former legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid will tour the Indian Cricket team on Sri Lanka’s tour for the limited-overs series. According to a report by ANI, Indian Coaching trio Ravi Shashtri, Bharat Arun and Vikram Rathore will be with the Indian team that will be in England.

So, Rahul Dravid, who is head of the National Cricket Academy will be coaching Young team India that will be going on Sri Lanka’s tour. ANI reported that “a BCCI officer in the know of development confirmed that The team India coaching staff will be in the UK and the young team should be guided by Dravid as he has already worked with almost all of the India A boys. The comfort the youngsters shared with him will be an added advantage,” the official told ANI.

Notably, Rahul Dravid has once already worked with the team in India in 2014 on India’s England tour as a batting coach. For years he is playing a great role in nurturing young talents at the U-19 level and India A team.

ANI further reports that India’s team selection for Sri Lanka’s tour will be done by the end of this month and the boys will undergo quarantine in Sri Lanka before playing the three ODI’s and 3 T20is.

The 2 ODI’s are to be played from July 13, 16, and 19 respectively. At the time when young team India will be Locking horns with  Sri Lanka, at the same time in July, Virat Kohli’s lead side will be preparing itself in England to lock horns against the host in August.
