Ubisoft has released its brand new version Rainbow Six Siege X on 10 June 2025, which has new graphics and gameplay improvements. The game is now free-to-play, and due to this many new players are also coming to it. But the first confusion for new players is – “How to add friends and how to create a party?”

If you also want to play Core Siege or Dual Front mode with your friends, then this simple guide will come in handy.

How to Add Friends in Rainbow Six Siege X

First of all you have to open the game, whether you are playing from Steam, Epic Games, or Ubisoft Connect. The Ubisoft Connect overlay is automatically activated in-game, which handles the social menu and rewards system.

Follow these steps:

  • Start Rainbow Six Siege X from your launcher.
  • When the main menu opens, press the keybar above the Playlist tab. This will open your Social Menu.
  • Click on Ubisoft Connect in the Social Menu. An overlay will open.
  • Enter your friend’s Ubisoft Connect username in the overlay’s search bar. Then send a friend request.
  • You will also see the friend requests you have received by clicking on the three dots on the side of the search bar.
  • After the friend request is accepted, you can invite them to a party.

Important Tips

Username is case-sensitive, meaning capital and small letters matter. If you spell it wrong, it won’t show.

If you want to befriend a player from a previous match, then:

  • Open the scoreboard
  • Click on the player you like
  • You can send friend request directly from there

Make your Squad Strong

When you have a solid squad, the fun of the gameplay becomes even more. Communication and teamwork improve a lot when you play with real-life friends. If you want to go competitive, you can make your trusted team by using these steps.
