India Clinches 2025 Champions Trophy with Thrilling Win Over New Zealand
While both the bowlers and batters made key contributions, the fielding from both teams was a bit sloppy. For India, the standout performers were captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. They showed great athleticism and kept the energy high throughout the match.
The duo was nominated for the Best Fielder Medal by India’s fielding coach T Dilip. Dilip highlighted Rohit’s commitment on the field and praised Jadeja for his sharp fielding, cutting off angles and sending powerful throws to the stumps.

Ravindra Jadeja was ultimately awarded the medal, which he accepted with a smile, hugging coach Dilip in appreciation. The 36-year-old also posed with both his winners’ medal and Best Fielder Medal.
In addition to his fielding, Ravindra Jadeja played a key role with the ball, taking 1/30 in an important spell and also hitting the winning shot. Skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front, contributing a vital 76 off 83 runs to put pressure on the New Zealand bowlers. He was rightly named Player of the Final.
