RCB vs GT, IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their first loss of the IPL 2025 season on Wednesday, April 2, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

After winning the toss, Gujarat chose to bowl first. In the second over, Arshad Khan got an early breakthrough by dismissing Virat Kohli. Mohammed Siraj struck in the next over, taking out Devdutt Padikkal. Phil Salt had a few lucky escapes but was eventually dismissed by Siraj, who performed brilliantly against his former team.

Rajat Patidar got out in the seventh over, leaving RCB struggling at 42/4. Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone built a crucial 52-run partnership to steady the innings. However, Jitesh couldn’t convert his start into a big score, and Krunal Pandya also failed to contribute much. By the 15th over, RCB had lost six wickets for 104 runs.

Livingstone made the most of his chances, scoring a valuable 54 off 40 balls. Tim David added a quick 32 off 18 balls towards the end, helping RCB reach a total of 169/8. Mohammed Siraj was the standout bowler, taking three wickets for just 19 runs in four overs, while Sai Kishore also impressed with two wickets.
