RCB vs GT: The Chinnaswamy Stadium hosted an amazing IPL 2026 match between the RCB and GT, where both sides produced excellent batting scores.

The Gujarat Titans scored 205 runs with only 3 wickets lost, thanks in large part to Sai Sudharsan’s century as RCB’s dependable batters Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal’s partnership chased down the target with 5 wickets in hand, including the death over touches by Krunal Pandya.

RCB vs GT: Sai Sudharsan’s Century Powers GT

Sai Sudharsan anchored GT’s innings with a stunning century of 100 runs from 58 balls that included eleven boundaries as well as five sixes. Sudharsan’s century set up his team with a score of more than 200 runs to win the match, with two other great contributions from Jos Buttler and Jason Holder giving GT the finish they required to win the game.

RCB’s Chase: Kohli & Padikkal Dominate

Virat Kohli & Devdutt Padikkal both scored big from the start of the RCB v GT run chase. Virat Kohli scored 81 runs in 44 balls, maintaining his superb IPL run. Devdutt Padikkal scored 55 runs off a much faster 27 balls to help lift the run rate. As they teamed up early in their innings, RCB was well on its way to successfully chasing down their target.

RCB vs GT: Record-Breaking Night for Kohli

Virat Kohli established a number of firsts during this contest, making history at both the RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) vs. GT (Gujarat Titans) game in IPL 2023.

1. First player to hit 800 fours in the IPL.

2. First cricketer to achieve 300 sixes for the same franchise (RCB).

Kohli started with a dropped catch on the first ball and then made the Gujarat Titans regret that decision by playing an inning that defined the match.

Mid-Innings Twist: RCB Lose Momentum

Just when RCB seemed unstoppable, GT fought back with quick wickets:

  • Rashid Khan dismissed Padikkal
  • Jason Holder removed Kohli
  • Additional wickets of Jitesh Sharma and Rajat Patidar caused a brief collapse

This shifted the pressure momentarily back onto RCB.

Krunal Pandya Seals the Game

Krunal Pandya stepped up in style, smashing 4, 4, 6 in a crucial over to bring RCB to victory. He smashed 23 runs of 12 balls which compensated the collapse that happened with 2 back to back wickets of Jitesh Sharma and Rajat Patidar.
