Real Madrid beat Frankfurt to win the UEFA Super Cup

On Wednesday night, 10th August, Real Madrid played against Bundesliga club named Eintracht Frankfurt FC in the UEFA Super Cup finals. La Liga side Real Madrid won it comfortably as the end scoreline was 2-0 to the Carlo Ancelotti’s men. The UEFA Super Cup is a game which is played every year between the UEFA Champions League winner and UEFA Europa League winner.

This year Eintracht Frankfurt won the UEFA Europa League and Real Madrid were the Champions League winner. Real Madrid played amazingly in in the game. Goals in both the halves helps the Champions League winner (2021/22) to lift the trophy of Super Cup. Last season it was won by Chelsea who won the Champions League (2020/21).

In the first half, Real Madrid totally dominated the ball and was creating some good chances in the game. Real Madrid’s Central-defender named David Alaba scored the opener in the 37th minute and gave a one-nil lead to Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, it was none other than Karim Benzema who scored second and the last goal of the game. That goal from French striker was also the match winner.
