Real Madrid have beaten their spanish opponents, Celta Vigo marginally and continue their quest for the La Liga title race with rivals, Barcelona. Real Madrid started a bit lazy as Celta created chances
Real Madrid started a bit lazy as Celta created chances at the start and it was only for Courtois who was at his best and did not let anything go past him. After a bit of a slow start, Real started weaving passes and also kept possession of the ball as Celta were happy to sit deep.

This momentum looked threatening as Real Madrid got close on some occasions until Arda Guler deposited the ball into the side-netting from the inside of the penalty area and scored a banger in the 33rd minute. This was Guler’s 14g/a as he has been performing for Real Madrid lately and has started in only 18 matches this season.
After 6 minutes, Kylian Mbappe scored from a counter-attack
After 6 minutes, Kylian Mbappe scored from a counter-attack as Courtois had made a strong save at the other end and as Celta was pushing forward they were not able to match Real’s speed and ended up conceding on the other end of the pitch.
The first half was completely Real Madrid’s as they gained a two goal lead with two spectacular efforts.
Kylian Mbappe scored again from a counter as Guler weaved a perfect pass

In the 48th minute, Kylian Mbappe scored again from a counter as Guler weaved a perfect pass into Mbappe’s path and there was no stopping the french talisman. He has been in fine form as he has scored 35 goals for Real Madrid this season.
With 3 goals lead, it looked game over but a double goal by Celta Vigo in the 69th minute and 76th minute meant that Real were left in doubt for the last 15 minutes, Celta was adamant on the equaliser but Madrid just kept their noses in front. It was a nervy ending to the match as Real Madrid just made it through but are still in the race for the La Liga.
