Real Madrid claimed the top spot in La Liga with a 3-0 victory against Cadiz, taking advantage of Girona’s upcoming match against Athletic Bilbao.

Rodrygo, initially doubtful due to international duty, showcased his fitness by scoring two remarkable goals. His strikes came in the 14th and 64th minutes, contributing significantly to Real Madrid’s lead. Later, Jude Bellingham sealed a comfortable win in the 74th minute with a left-foot shot, assisted by Rodrygo.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad secured a 2-1 win over Sevilla. Ander Barrenetxea and Umar Sadiq scored early goals, while Youssef En-Nesyri pulled one back for Sevilla in the 60th minute. The game saw tension rise as Sevilla’s Sergio Ramos received a red card for a challenge on Brais Mendez, and Jesus Navas was also sent off for protesting.

Elsewhere, Real Betis claimed a 1-0 victory against Las Palmas, courtesy of Willian Jose’s goal, and Villarreal celebrated a 3-1 win over Osasuna with a second-half hat-trick from the 36-year-old Jose Luis Morales.
