So far, his best was a World Cup 2023 century in just 63 balls against Afghanistan. He made his century against England in 82 balls back in 2018. With such consistency over the years despite having played in 267 matches (259 innings), Rohit Sharma turns out to be one of the greatest run-scorers in ODI history for India.

A Quick Fire Fifty: Rohit’s Third Fastest

In addition to scoring a century, Rohit also scored his fifty in a rapid 30 balls, making it his third-fastest fifty in ODIs. His previous fastest fifties came off just 27 balls against Bangladesh in 2022 and 29 balls against Sri Lanka in 2024. Third in the List of Most International Centuries for India

Rohit Sharma scored 119 runs, marking his 49th international century and placing him in the third position on the list of most centuries for India. He surpassed Rahul Dravid in the process, who has 48 centuries. He is just behind the great Virat Kohli (81 centuries) and Tendulkar, the “master-blaster” (100 centuries). One of the greatest achievements through Rohit’s innings is to surpass Sachin Tendulkar in a unique record that is now equaled by none. He holds the record for scoring the most centuries after reaching 30 years, with 36 centuries already accomplished. The legendary Sachin Tendulkar had 35 centuries to his name after turning 30.
