The WWE RAW episode following Survivor Series: WarGames 2025 ended with The Judgment Day holding the Women’s Tag Team Championships. But one major name was nowhere to be seen Roman Reigns.
The Original Tribal Chief competed at Survivor Series as part of Team CM Punk, where he suffered a tough loss. Usually, WWE brings big stars to the RAW show after a premium live event, so his complete absence was noticed by many fans.
Here are three possible reasons why Roman Reigns missed the show.
Roman Reigns may be taking another break
One of the most likely reasons behind his absence is another period of time off. Over the past year, Reigns has appeared only during the build-up to major events. After competing in the premium live event, he usually steps away again until WWE needs him for the next big storyline.
His Survivor Series loss could have simply marked the start of another short hiatus. Reigns has been working a special schedule for months, and missing the RAW after Survivor Series fits that pattern.
WWE could be saving him for Royal Rumble 2026
The next major event on the WWE calendar is Royal Rumble 2026, which takes place on January 31. Before that, WWE only has one special show: the Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, which is focused on John Cena’s final match.
With the Royal Rumble still weeks away, WWE may want to save Reigns for a bigger return moment. Bringing him back at the start of the new year could help generate excitement for the Rumble and kick off a major storyline. Keeping him off RAW now could be a creative decision to build anticipation.
There may be no immediate storyline plans for him
WWE hinted at a future Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes storyline during the final moments of the WarGames match. However, Cody is still dealing with Drew McIntyre in the Undisputed WWE Championship picture.
Until that feud reaches its conclusion, Triple H cannot insert Reigns into the title story. As a result, Roman currently has no urgent direction. Without an active rivalry or segment planned for him, WWE may have decided to keep him off RAW for the time being.
