Argentinian TV outlet TNT Sports claims that Lionel Messi has been offered ‘an unbeatable deal’ by PSG. In response, the Dutch manager said that ‘he is not concerned’ that the French club have offered Lionel Messi a three-year contract.
Messi was extremely upset last year when Barcelona lost to Bayern by 8-2 in the quarterfinals of Champions League. He decided to leave the club but was not allowed by the Barcelona and La Liga board as the special clause in Messi’s contract was no longer valid due to the increased length of the season caused by the pandemic.
Koeman on speculation of Argentinean’s transfer said: “I’m not interested in PSG, I don’t know if it’s true. I hope he stays with us. For me, he should finish here because he’s spent his whole life here, but ultimately it’s a decision that he will have to make.”
It will be very interesting to see if Lionel Messi stays at Barcelona or moves away, as he earns a lot in Barcelona in terms of salary. It would be extremely tough for any other club to match his current salary as he is one of the highest paid athletes in the world.
