Savita Punia excited to represent India at home in Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023

Indian women’s hockey captain Savita Punia expresses her excitement about the upcoming Jharkhand Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023, highlighting the honor of hosting the prestigious event on home soil.

As preparations are made for the next Jharkhand Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023, which will take place from October 27 to November 5, the anticipation among the women’s hockey community is considerable.

Savita, the captain of the Indian women’s hockey team, expressed her enthusiasm for the competition and the distinction of hosting such a famous game on Indian soil.

“As the captain of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team, I am thrilled beyond words to know that the Asian Champions Trophy for women is set to take place in Ranchi. Notably, the women’s team won the prestigious title in 2016 and in the following edition in 2018, they finished runners-up.
