Brazil and Scotland are all set to face each other in their final Group C clash at the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Wednesday, with both teams chasing a place in the Round of 32.
Brazil is currently top of the group with four points after two matches. A win over Scotland would guarantee them first place, while a draw could also be enough if Morocco fails to beat Haiti.
Scotland, meanwhile, is hoping to make history by reaching the knockout stage of a major international tournament for the first time. They are already assured of finishing no lower than third in the group, but a positive result against Brazil could secure their place in the next round.
Scotland and Brazil have met each other 10 times. The South Americans dominate the head-to-head record with eight wins. The last time they played against each other was back in 1998, when Brazil won 2-1 in Paris

Scotland vs Brazil: Team News and Injury Updates
Scotland
Scotland has received a massive boost ahead of the match, with defender Scott McKenna back in training after missing the first two FIFA World Cup games because of a calf injury. However, Aaron Hickey remains a major doubt after sitting out the defeat to Morocco, and his availability will be decided closer to kick-off.
There is better news in midfield, as Lewis Ferguson is expected to return to the starting lineup after being rested during training over the weekend.
Brazil
Brazil won’t have their wing Raphinha because he suffered a hamstring injury when Brazil scored 3-nil against Haiti in their last game. Although there is a bit of hope that Neymar Jr. is expected to make a comeback against Scotland, as manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the star forward has fully recovered from his calf injury, has returned to full training, and is completely available for selection.
