English Premier League defending champions Manchester City have completed another signing of the summer as Sergio Gomez will join the club from Anderlecht. Premier League’s side bought this player after their deal for left-back Marc Cucurella was hijacked by Chelsea FC a few days ago.

Manchester City wanted Marc Cucurella this summer and identified him as their priority target for the left-back position before Chelsea decided to make a bid for him to Brighton FC. Marc Cucurella have also played his debut game for Chelsea FC in their first Premier League fixture on Saturday, 6th August.

Manchester City have now bought a new left-back named Sergio Gomez from Belgian First Division A club named Anderlecht. The 21-year old has already agreed the personal terms with the club and the final fee is close to €15 million (as reported by Fabrizio Romano). Manchester City are thinking to keep Sergio Gomez for a long term and he can also be the first-team player for them soon.

Though it is still expected that the 21-year old Spanish player will go out on loan to some La Liga club as per Fabrizio Romano’s latest Instagram post.
