Seth Rollins has argued that a WWE Superstar, or any artist for that matter, does not have to meet certain physical parameters to be considered a “larger than life” personality.

Rollins told in a recent interview that his wife, Becky Lynch, is not just “bigger than life” within the WWE scene, but also the G.O.A.T. of the wrestling profession, using the examples of megastars Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.

“With her personality, Becky has blossomed into one of the biggest stars in the history of our company; she is now the greatest wrestler of all time for me,” Rollins stated. “As you can see, there are several ways to be ‘bigger than life.’ It’s undoubtedly simpler if you’re already physically active, but there’s another option. You don’t have to look like Hulk Hogan or John Cena to be ‘bigger than life.’ Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather are both ‘larger than life,’ despite feeling physically 1.50. In the end, it is not about the physical situations, but about what you make of them.”

When pointed out that he does not aesthetically fit the mould of many all-time greats, Rollins stated that he needed to find a method to stand out in establishing himself as a marquee name.

“I never looked like John, Roman, or Hogan, and I never will,” Rollins stated. “As a result, I was never given what they were given.” Don’t get me wrong: everyone mentioned above has had to work tremendously hard, and I applaud what John Cena and Hulk Hogan have accomplished. And I applaud Roman’s current efforts. But the truth is that someone like me does not get the ball as easily as others do. People who aren’t a certain size, like me, are constantly pushed to their limits. Shawn Michaels, Randy Savage, Eddie Guerrero, and even Bret Hart had to. That’s the bundle we carry: we have to struggle our way up, fight our way up in every meaning of the word.”
