Former Australian cricketer Shane Watson has had his say on the Indian opening batter KL Rahul who has made a comeback in the Indian team after a long injury break. Shane Watson had an interview on ICC app ahead of the Asia Cup 2022. The former Australian all-rounder is happy to see KL Rahul back in the Indian team and feels he can be one of the batter to look out for in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Indian opening batter KL Rahul is likely to open with Rohit Sharma in the upcoming T20 World Cup as he has played some games for Indian team and has done a phenomenal job. KL Rahul had his surgery a few months ago in Germany and now he is match fit. KL Rahul was selected for the Zimbabwe’s tour where India was due to play three ODIs against Zimbabwe. Not only he was selected but was made captain for this series.
“I would not be surprised if KL Rahul explodes in the T20 World Cup in Australia, because he’s got the game to dominate in these conditions in Australia,” said Shane Watson on KL Rahul via ICC app.
