Shaun Tait’s Epic Reaction to Pakistan’s Defeat

After Moeen Ali’s England destroyed Babar Azam and company in the just finished T20I match between the two previous world champions on Friday in Lahore, Pakistan’s fast bowling coach Shaun Tait was told to face the music. In the sixth T20I of the seven-game series at the renowned Gaddafi Stadium, England’s Phil Salt led the visitors to a surprising victory over the Green Army by taking the potent Pakistani bowling unit to the task.

After Pakistan’s humiliating loss on Friday, fast bowling coach Shaun Tait spoke to the media and astounded reporters with his distinct sense of humour. As he prepared for the explosive press conference, Tait made a joke about how his team only forces him to participate in media appearances when Pakistan suffers demoralising losses. So, they send me when we suffer a severe loss. Before the press conference in Lahore began, Tait made a joke about how they send me when we get badly defeated.

After Pakistan trounced England in the fourth T20I, pacer Haris Rauf spoke to the media while spinner Shadab Khan joined the previous press conference. Speaking about the game, on Friday in Lahore, England smashed the hosts by 8 wickets to tie the T20I series at 2-2 while Pakistan’s bowling unit produced a forgettable performance.

They just attacked us. They came out attacking, every ball they tried to hit a boundary. It worked for the first three overs and, in some way, it put our bowlers off guard a little bit. We didn’t do a lot wrong and it was just great batting. Sometimes you have got to give it to the batting team, Tait told reporters.

In the seventh match of the seven-match series, England defeated Pakistan thanks to opening batsman Chris Salt’s unbeaten 88 from 41 balls. Using Salt’s quick-fire innings as support, England completed the 170-run total in 14.3 overs. A batting masterclass by wicketkeeper-batter Salt earned him the title of Player of the Match. At the same location on Sunday, Babar-led Pakistan will play England in the T20I series finale.
