BCCI recently announced the India A squad for the home series against New Zealand A. The squad consists of the name of players like Umran Malik, Yash Dayal, and KS Bharat among others with Priyank Panchal leading the side. However, the selection has irked another player. Sheldon Jackson doesn’t seem happy with the board ignoring him for such opportunities.
The 35-year-old wicketkeeper batter expressed his distaste on Twitter recently after the announcement. Jackson appeared in the last season of IPL where he played for Kolkata Knight Riders. However, the season didn’t go well for him as he scored a mere 23 runs. But the player’s recent domestic seasons were impressive and maybe that’s why he’s not happy about his omission. Sheldon Jackson has not been named in any squad for the upcoming Duleep Trophy too.
I have a right to believe and dream that if i have performed for 3 continuous season, i may get picked on the basis of my performances not age, tired of hearing this that im a good player and performer but im old🤣, im 35 not 75 🤣🤣

In his tweet, Jackson opined that he’s 35 but still fit to play. “I have a right to believe and dream that if I have performed for 3 continuous seasons, I may get picked on the basis of my performances not age, tired of hearing this that I’m a good player and performer but I’m old, I’m 35 not 75,” Jackson tweeted.
I understand your pain but you were terrible in the IPL.
All that hype; it fizzled. Sorry!— Sourav (@iamsouravroy) August 24, 2022
A fan, however, reminded Jackson of his forgettable performance in the IPL. “I understand your pain but you were terrible in the IPL. All that hype; fizzled. Sorry.” And the cricketer came up with an explained reply to the fan.
Hey, i understand your upset with me and i was angry with myself too coz i havnt got anything in cricket easily or early ,but in cricket it happens no matter how much you try at times things dont go your way, im sorry i couldn’t show you how good i actually am, someday 🙏
