Indian cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan has been amazing in the first ODI against West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval cricket ground. The match between India and West Indies was played on Friday, 22nd July. It was a thrilling match as it ended in the very last ball of the game. Indian team won the game by 3 runs and now lead the series by 1-0.

Shikhar Dhawan who is the captain of the Indian team for this ODI series against West Indies was named ‘player of the match’ after the game for his wonderful performance. Shikhar Dhawan scored 97 runs in this game, hitting 10 boundaries and 3 maximums. The Indian opener was playing very well after he couldn’t score runs in England tour. This innings of 97 will give him (Shikhar Dhawan) will give him a huge confidence for the upcoming games.

He got out on 97 and joined an unwanted list of Indian players. It was Shikhar Dhawan’s 6th dismissal in the 90’s, becoming only the second joint Indian player along with Sourav Ganguly after Sachin Tendulkar who has got out 17 times. Indian former captain Virat Kohli is also in this list who has got out in the 90’s 5 times same as Virender Sehwag.
